The record
Every read the desk makes is settled against what NIFTY, BANKNIFTY or SENSEX went on to do, and counted. This page is that count. Most reads are about a coin toss — which is exactly what the tests found, and why the desk describes rather than predicts.

Sector rotation
| timeframe | stage changes that beat NIFTY | followed the textbook circle |
|---|---|---|
| daily | right about 5 times in 10, over 20,604 past cases | 50 in 100 — chance is 50 |
| weekly | right about 5 times in 10, over 4,271 past cases | 49 in 100 — chance is 50 |
| monthly | right about 5 times in 10, over 806 past cases | 51 in 100 — chance is 50 |
Tested against chance by re-running the same pipeline over each sector's own returns in shuffled order. On that test the quadrant carries no information about the next bars.
The morning read and the headlines
- morning narrativeno settled cases yet · too few cases to judge
- headline readsno settled cases yet · too few cases to judge
Each headline is read for NIFTY and each morning narrative leans one way; both are settled against the index a horizon later.
How to read this page
A rate is the share of settled cases where the read matched what followed. "About a coin toss" means the desk's tests could not tell the read from chance — and the desk says so rather than dressing it up. The raw rate and count sit under each line for anyone who wants the arithmetic. The tests behind the gate notes (shuffled controls, both indices, sealed periods) are described in the project record; none of them is a claim about the future.
